about

I always try to include bonus tracks on my albums so when it was time to finish recording "Light From A Dying Star" I knew I wanted some remixes. I drew inspiration from the cover art on Favourite Hallucination which depicted a slinky, hallucinogenic, Alice In Wonderland meets Tim Burton, white rabbit. I took upon the character of that rabbit and did a complete rerecording of "Favourite Hallucination" in the way that rabbit may have done it. The original version is a melancholy sweet pop but transposing the lyrics to another style of music made the meaning a bit more sinister and disturbing. Incidentally "lagomorph" is a scientific term for rabbit.

about

The Enigmatic Foe Knoxville, Tennessee

With sharp lyrics, the playful pop bite of the best of the 70s and 80s, and the kind of self-deprecation usually reserved for a Woody Allen movie, Jared Colinger's lyrics run the gamut from the joy of new love to disillusionment with the old, from wanting to like yourself to being afraid of what we have in our minds.

The new music coming in 2023.
