I wrote this song immediately after seeing my first and only Starflyer 59 concert. The opening band was, if memory serves, a group called The Prayers and Tears of Arthur Digby Sellers. I thought they had a good sound and great instrumentation. I was a little jealous. They even had a xylophone on stage! Anyway "My Darkness" is me trying to copy some of the things I learned from watching them. I always liked the melody and the words but I could definitely record a better version. I even tried to include a "xylophone" sound on my keyboard. Shameless.
